Crosstied…Why the Funny Name?

Now that I’ve updated the site with a new design (hope you like it), I want you to know a little bit more about Crosstied. So here are a few quick facts:

• Crosstied exists as a teaching platform to provide practical, proven, and powerful encouragement in just three categories: faith, leadership, and relationships.

• Crosstied gives me the exciting privilege of connecting with people beyond my current sphere of relationships.

• Crosstied provides the opportunity to develop my interests in speaking and writing in order to add value to the community, churches, families, and everyday followers of Christ. So if you know of a group or organization that needs a little hope and practical help with a touch of humor, please send them my way.

• The funny name “Crosstied” evolved from several directions. First, my last name comes from German origins and was sometimes pronounced “cross.” Second, Galatians 2:20 is my life verse and it states that I have been crucified with Christ. And so my hope is tied to the Cross. Finally, I thought “Daryl Crouch Ministries” sounded just plain weird.

• The Crosstied logo was designed by my friend TJ at www.toddsportfolio.com. He is one gifted guy. And I’ve had a great experience with Kyle Reed at www.thoughsaboutnothing.com on the web design.

• Crosstied Ministries is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is supported by the generosity of people like you…maybe not you, but people (walking upright on two feet homosapiens) like you. And by the way, I’m very grateful for those people.

• Crosstied is just getting started. Everything big started small, but it had to start. And every start-up needs a little extra help. And this one is no exception. Here’s how you can help: (1) Pray for Crosstied, (2) Subscribe to my blog, (3) Share my blogs and website with your friends, (4) Support Crosstied financially, and (5) Get involved in the discussion by commenting on my posts.

Thanks again for joining me on this journey. I can’t wait to see how God ignites and renews an everyday passion for God in your life.
